I’ve spent the day watching the Bathurst 1000. Yeah I know, it’s a nice day and I should have been doing something outside in the sun with the kids, but it’s only one day a year in front of the teeev.

I also spent the weekend watching Bathurst. A couple of strange things happened during Prime’s telecast. After the major crash in the Mini race, the coverage looped for about an hour, which left me and my mates scratching our heads thinking.. I’m sure we’ve seen this before. There was no other mention or replay of the incident for the rest of the weekend, which left us to assume the driver may have passed away as a result of the accident.
The Top 10 shootout was good, managed to miss the celebrity race, not sure when that was broadcast (if at all), but Sunday’s race was pretty bland for the most part. The first 20-30 were interesting as were the last 20-30, however the mid-section of the race was relatively incident free.
Overall was a great excuse to hang out with the boys for a great weekend!
